In order for the website to be based on a functioning product E-commerce elements have been implemented throughout the website. To give the website context and to replicate how users would use the full website.
A shopping basket has been added so that when users create their chocolate bars they can add it to the basket, these are mocked up systems however this would be the way to purchase the items.
When they are directed to the basket there is a selection of items they can change the quantity and items. Again this is a mock up but it incorporates the checkout system. Adding familiar aspects such as the basket allows users to be familiarised with e-commerce websites and then they will know what to do. This replicates real world shopping experiences with the basket and then they are directed to the checkout so users can engage with this and have a good shopping experience.
High street shops and online presentences utilize special offers as a way to get users to purchase items, an incentive. This is why offers such as two for one have been added to give users an incentive to purchase and by giving them the offer will encourage them to come back if they like the chocolate.
Also after users have gone through the checkout the mocked – up pages give a range of payment options. This is giving the users more of a choice and good for business, so if they do not want to pay throughout the website they can via PayPal. Therefore gaining users that feel secure and like they do have a choice within how they can pay.
The basket is an ongoing theme throughout the pages the basket has been added as part of the main navigation therefore, drawing attention to it and making it clear for users to find and direct to.
